At the first visit, a thorough assessment is completed. This typically includes clinical observations at school or home, and a selection of assessment activities will be carried out with your child. Following this, the therapist will discuss the assessment findings with you alongside a discussion about goals and any concerns you may have. The OT will work with you to devise a personalised therapy plan that works for you and your child to target occupational needs identified during assessment

COULD YOUR CHILD BENEFIT FROM AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSESSMENT?

Some children experience difficulties in their everyday activities, for many reasons. If your child shows signs of the following; 

  • Sensory processing difficulties

  • Self-regulation difficulties

  • Emotional regulation difficulties
